Why do I need a Realtor® to sell my home?

The short answer is you are not required to use a Realtor® to sell your home.  However, even if you have bought and sold many properties or even dabbled in real estate yourself, I always recommend at least having a conversation with a Realtor® or two to get their insight into your specific situation.  Realtors are required to keep up to date on new laws and regulations which may impact what is going on in your local market.  Additionally, Realtors give you access to expanded data and marketing as well as help guide you through all disclosures, legal and financial documents in the sale or purchase of a home.  See 7 Reasons to Work With a REALTOR®  for more information.
